COCONUT OIL ORGANIC
Coconut oil is extracted from the kernel of matured coconuts harvested from the coconut palm and is high in saturated fats.
It has many nutrients that can contribute to the health and to a good diet. It’s full of fatty acids that the body needs and may help improve cognitive function, metabolism, and hair and skin health.
There are two main kinds of coconut oil: refined and unrefined (virgin).
1. REFINED COCONUT OIL
* Made from dried coconut meat “Copra”
*Steam refined
* Colorless
* Netral scent & favor
* Heat up to 450°F
* Great for frying, naking and body care. Best for recipes where a coconut flavor is not desired.
* Shelf life may last shorter than refined coconut oil.
2. VIRGIN COCONUT OIL
* Made from fresh mature coconut meat
* Cold-pressed method, unrefined
* Ligh yellow, biege color
* Coconut scent & favor
* Heat up to 350°F
* Best for medium heat cooking, baking and body care. Best for receipes where a coconut flavor is desired.
* Shelf life may last longer than refined coconut oil.
